Our Services
Set up with a vision to create books that feast the senses of children, delight their inner eyes and tempt their ears to music of a wholly different tenor, we are a fairly new publishing outfit which is evolving from strength to strength, enhancing its capacities in new, experimental forms of books, such as edutainment and STEM books while texploring genres that are in somewhat short supply in the Indian children’s books. From baby books to books based on skill-based literacy, from books on environment and sustainability to books on green living, from books on yoga and mindfulness to books on feelings and life lessons, we plan to create an eclectic mix of books for children across age-groups, in collaboration with publishing houses and organizations working in the children’s literature space.

About us
Syllables27 is an independent publishing venture founded by Arthy Muthanna Singh and Mamta Nainy. Diverse, inclusive and colourful books for young readers – this is what Syllables27 stands for. We believe that books can be both windows and mirrors for children – they can open windows to other cultures and perspectives, while also providing children of all backgrounds and abilities with a much-needed mirror of their own experiences. Focused on a holistic experience of reading, we create books that encourage discovery, compassion, creativity and global awareness… books that are beautiful, tell imaginative and important stories, and introduce young minds to the wonderful world we live in. We endeavour to promote a lifestyle which at its heart has a child, one whose feet are planted firmly on the ground, who is connected to the soil, who understands community and who has the wings to soar fearlessly and explore the world — through imagination and storytelling.

If children have to become truly literate, they need books. And the world of books needs authors like Arthy Muthanna and Mamta Nainy. A child should want to pick up a book, finish reading it, feel like referencing it further. A tall order indeed, especially when one is competing with the electronic media. Movies and videos have an important place in giving children knowledge, experiences and entertainment, but ……..!
